Jemo 1 Condominium, part of the city’s large-scale social housing
initiative completed around 2010, is situated in the southwestern
outskirts of Addis Ababa within the Nifas Silk–Lafto district. The expansive complex includes over 300 residential blocks with hundreds of units—typically 64 to 75m² two-bedroom apartments—rising 4–5 stories. Designed under the 40/60 housing program by the Addis
Ababa Housing Project Office and AASHDE, it provides accessible,
high-density housing for thousands of families and integrates essential services like water, electricity, and communal spaces. While it has
improved urban living standards, residents still face infrastructure
challenges, such as limited water pressure and traffic congestion.

Founded in 2003, WWCAE has grown into one of Ethiopia’s most respected consulting firms, with a strong presence in both urban and regional developments.
